This image was part of some research I did for my thesis. It charts the evolution of downtown Yonge Street from the 1960's - Today through Toronto Star headlines.

Yonge Street Mapping Intro

A visualization of Yonge Street based on the variety of merchandise and services available to its users. Each icon represents one business. The goods and services cater to a broad spectrum of user groups, but were grouped into general categories, that were then located onto a scaled map. The combined image shows the informal distribution of the variety of business found on the street.

Typographic Poster Concepts

I have a document that is a working collection of quotes I hear, like, am inspired by and or laugh at. I came across this artist who makes this great typographic posters of quotes, and thought I’d perhaps try it myself.

So here are my first few.

We've been selected to be part of the Barns Art Market

Exciting news! Saturday, August 20th The Lucky Penny Collection has been selected to sell graphic prints at the Wychwood Barn's Art Market in Toronto.  For more information visit Toronto's Arstcape Barns Art Market website. The market runs from 9am - 5pm @ 601 Christie Street, Toronto, Ontario (St. Clair & Christie).

There will be a variety of graphic prints showcasing various aspects of Toronto's very own Yonge Street. The images show different cartographic methods for urban analysis. They range from photo essays to mapping exercises.

Here are a few examples of the prints and posters that will be available.
